Lionfish have the potential to become the most disastrous marine invasion in history. All over the Caribbean biologists and scientists are working with the local Marine Parks trying to find a solution to this impending epidemic. As a non-native species Lionfish have no natural predator in the Atlantic. On the Island of Roatan in Honduras, local dive masters are trying to have sharks include lion fish in their diet. Although endangered themselves, sharks in the Caribbean may help keep the population of lion fish under control thus posing just another reason to protect these beautiful creatures.
