Its fortune comes from oil, however this Middle East capital keeps its eyes open wide and, conscious of limited oil supplies, it is now betting on the tourist industry to ensure its own future.Therefore all over the town new building sites are ready to impress the whole world once again and are more and more often cropping up next to futuristic buildings, already hosting thousands of locals, immigrants and tourists. From the sea to the desert the city is a never-ending construction project, and construction companies from as far off as China are part of this building frenzy. However, as with other countries, Dubai is facing the economic crisis, for this reason some building sites are temporarily put on hold while others haverequired economic help from abroad, such as from famous Burj Khalifa, one of the symbols of this city, which was finished thanks to founding from the near by Abu Dhabi.While the making of Dubai is in the hands of a real legion of foreign workers coming from countries such as India, Pakistan, Egypt and Sri Lanka, famous architects from all over the world are called upon to keep reinventing the golden city.
